How Do Internet Merchant Accounts Work?

An ecommerce website is an internet site that accepts credit cards online for orders via an ecommerce merchant account or internet merchant account. The customer visits an ecommerce website via the internet, and selects the products to be bought by placing them in a the site's shopping cart. When all the items the customer wishes to purchase are selected, the customer clicks on the appropriate link to begin the checkout process.

During the checkout process, a form is filled out by the customer containing the shipping internet ecommerce merchant accounts allow your website to accept credit cards online information.
